Most recently Sarah worked as the lead female singer/dancer in the Dominican Republic; Puerto Plata as part of a resort entertainment team. She portrayed such roles as Tina Turner, Areatha Franklin, Sandy from Grease, Mary in Mary Poppins, a Supreme in Diana Ross and the Supremes as well as a dancer in Bombay Dreams. It was during this opportunity that she was introduced to renowned UK choreographer Scott Ritchie.
Upon arrival back in Canada she began working on her first pop/R&B demo CD with world renowned vocal coach Diana Yampolsky; founder and creator of Royans School for the Musical Arts and in conjunction with Phase One Recording Studios. This demo can be accessed through the Music section of this website. Sarah is not only excited about this most recent demo but also a new found love for the recording studio and the versatility that she has now gained as a vocalist.
Sarah is a graduate of the University of Windsor BFA Musical Theatre Program. Her favourite university credits include: Little Red Riding Hood in “Into the Woods”, Suzie in “Lady Be Good”, Julie in “Jake’s Women”, “Closer Than Ever” and “Forbidden Broadway” to name a few. It was at the University of Windsor where she worked with such artists as Wenna Shaw, David Savoy, Karen Skidmore, William Pinnell, and Micheal Keating.
Sarah's recent and on-going training includes: On- Camera film work with Lewis Baumander. Jazz and Ballet with Stelio Calagias, Sam Snyders, Eileen Birks, Stehpan Findlay ( Metro Movement; Jazz, Ballet). Ballroom and Latin Dance with Linda Marcella, Marc Read. Joy of Dance Studio; Gymnastics; Tumbling with Warren at Pulsars Gymnastics . Voice with Diana Yampolsky (Voice; music theatre, R&B, Pop).
Sarah began her professional career in Canmore, Alberta where she performed in tributes to “Hair” and “Anne of Green Gables”. Back in Ontario she performed in musical productions: Nunsense (Sister Amnesia) and Oklahoma (Ensemble). Sarah then began touring across Canada and the United States with a three part a capella comedy troupe called "The LimeyBirds". Other favorite credits include "The Servant of Two Masters" (Clarice) and "King David The Musical" (Michal; The Winter Garden Theatre).
Sarah is also a member of ICING; (Tiffany Richardson). A promotional dance company designed to give artists exposure and to perfect their networking skills. Such clientel include; Beerfest, Coors Light Maxim Golf Experience, Grey Cup 07-Canadian Chopper, TO Film Fest- ET Canada Studio Lounge and Toronto Rock.
Sarah’s next endeavours take her to Niagara where she can be seen in “Beauty and the Beast” Silvermist Pruductions from November 23rd 2007-January 1, 2008. Sarah is also portraying the Icicle Princess in “The Misty Kids”. A Children’s show written by Michael Clarke for the Niagara Festival of Lights. Following these projects she will then be seen as Jennifer in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! with Canadiana Productions. When Sarah is not busy rehearsing three shows she will be promoting her new demo and continuing to train as much as possible.
